You Are Cordially Invited To Our Kings Coronation Celebrations Day
To celebrate this monumental, historical moment in time of the Kings Coronation, the Victoria Club, along with the support of Street Parish Council, are very honoured and pleased to announce that to mark the Coronation of His Majesty The King and Her Majesty The Queen Consort, we will be hosting an all day long event of festivities on Sunday, 7th May 2023 from 12pm – Late over the bank holiday weekend. This celebration is catered for everyone in the family to enjoy.
The day will be filled with family fun, fresh food, live music, entertainment, games, competitions and of course, your favourite tipple from the bar. Don’t forget, there is also space available for you and your entourage, to bring a blanket and have a picnic, relax and soak up some sunshine in the field with your party. Come join in on the great community spirit, this regal event is sure to bring!
Remember, this event (along with all of the events at the Victoria Club), are open to not only our members but non-members as well, as we think everyone should be able to attend this country wide celebration.

We chose to hold celebrations on Sunday, 7th May, as it was named by the Royals’ as the official “Communities Day” over the Kings Coronation Day weekend. What better way to celebrate community spirit, than with celebrations to bring together the community. Street may be a small town but it has a big heart, along with a long history of looking after its people who reside in Street.
Dress code – None. Be as smart or casual as you like! Though dressing up in your best regal themed attire is encouraged and you may just win a special prize for it.
King Charles III Coronation Bank Holiday Weekend Events Nationwide
The Coronation will take place across a celebratory weekend of events to mark this historic occasion beginning on Saturday 6 May with the Coronation Service taking place at Westminster Abbey in London. Their Majesties will be crowned in the same location Her Late Majesty The Queen was crowned 70 years ago.
On Sunday 7 May, the Coronation Concert will take place at Windsor Castle, which will celebrate Their Majesties’ Coronation.
On Monday 8 May, a Bank Holiday has been proclaimed by the Prime Minister so the nation can come together to support charities in the “Big Help Out”. In tribute to His Majesty The King’s lifetime of service, the Big Help Out will encourage people to support the causes that matter the most to them with activity already planned by organisations including The Scouts, Royal Voluntary Service, National Trust and RNLI.
